GPF Runner - Process Your Data Faster
This little project aims to help you to run processing with ESA SNAP faster. In some cases, the gpt tool does not execute with the best possible performance. GPF Runner can be more than 5-times faster than a normal GPF run.
Sure, it needs a bit of Java development, but I tried to make it as easy as possible and there are also some examples.
If you have questions, don't hesitate to ask me in the EOMasters forum.

LPS Calls for Abstracts

You probably already heard that ESA's Living Planet Symposium takes place next year in Vienna between 23-27 June. You might also have heard that the abstract submission is open. However, it should not be missing from an EO newsletter.
The theme for this year is "From Observation to Climate Action and Sustainability for Earth"
You can send your abstract till 1 December 2024.
In addition, you can also preregister as a sponsor for the event. Being a sponsor ensures that you are seen by the EO community.
2nd EO Commercialisation Forum

The second EO Commercialisation Forum takes place in Frankfurt in November. There are several good reasons to visit this forum.

Investment Opportunities

And the best is, you can meet me. Drop me a line if you want to meet.
Draco - A Satellite to Be Destroyed
Credit: ESA/D. Ducros
The Draco mission (Destructive Re-entry Assessment Container Object) aims to ensure that satellites burn up completely on re-entry. The sequence of events during the destructive re-entry of a satellite is to be recorded with the Draco mission. This shall help to reduce existing uncertainties in demolition and dismantling processes.
The mission is planned for 2027 and will involve a 150-kilogram satellite.
