EOMasters Pro Toolbox update v1.3
An update of the EOMasters Pro Toolbox is eminent. It is already sent to the SNAP team and I'm waiting that it is published to the plugin server. So, you can expect the update to be available next week.
In the is update a new reader for EMIT L1B and L2A data has been added. EMIT is installed on the ISS and measure the mineral composition of Earth's arid land measures the mineral composition of Earth's arid land dust source regions. The sensor provides spectral data across a range of 380 to 2500 nm, with a spectral sampling of 7.4 nm.
EMIT's primary goal is to map the composition of mineral dust, which plays a significant role in climate change. Dark minerals can absorb sunlight and warm the Earth, while light-colored minerals can reflect sunlight and cool the Earth. By accurately mapping these minerals, EMIT helps scientists understand the effects of dust on the Earth's climate and human populations.

12 Benefits for Society Thanks to ESA's EO Programme
Credit: ESA
For its 50th anniversary ESA create a brochure about twelve scientific discoveries and their benefits for society. Three discoveries for each of the four categories atmosphere, polar regions, oceans and land have been selected and are explained.
Level 1 Earthcare Data Products Are Now Available
Credit; ESA–P. Carril, 2013
The commissioning phase of EarthCARE is completed. Now the first set of data products are now openly available.
Level 1 products include calibrated, and geolocated observations obtained from EarthCARE's Atmospheric LIDAR (ATLID), Broadband Radiometer (BBR), Cloud Profiling Radar (CPR), and Multispectral Imager (MSI).
New Swarm Products Available
Credit: ESA–P. Carril, 2013
New Swarm data products are now available on the Swarm dissemination server.
The FAC_LLS product has time-series of Field-Aligned Current (FAC) and radial current (IRC) densities along the orbit.
The ULFxMAG_2F product has information on the instantaneous power, prominence, frequency, etc. of Pc2, Pc3, Pc4 and Pi2 events.
The PC1xMAG_2F product contains the characterisation of Pc1 events derived from the HR vector magnetic field data.
Software, Tools and Services
AI Tool for Realistic Satellite Images of Climate Impacts
Crtedit: Lütjens et al.
Researchers from the University of Granada (UGR) have developed an AI tool to generate realistic satellite images depicting the impacts of climate change. It is intended to help communicate the consequences of environmental changes such as flooding and reforestation to political decision-makers and the public.
Earth Observation Data Science Cookbook
This digital book provides examples and workflows applied to examples in Earth observation data science. It is licensed under Apache 2.0, while all non-code content is licensed under Creative Commons BY 4.0 (CC BY 4.0).
Currently it provides several courses for Microwave Remote Sensing, a template for the classification of Sentinel-2 imagery, and a tutorial Reverend Bayes updates our Belief in Flood Detection
Beyond EO
New Record for Optical Inter-Satellite Communication
Credit: JAXA/NEC
JAXA and NEC have achieved an important milestone in space communications. They have successfully transmitted a large amount of mission data using the Laser Utilizing Communication System (LUCAS) between the Advanced Land Observing Satellite-4 (ALOS-4) and an optical data relay satellite in geostationary orbit. This optical communication with a wavelength of 1.5 μm and a speed of 1.8 Gbit/s enables the immediate downlinking of large amounts of data.
