ESA talks in the article linked below, that false-colour images can help to discriminate snow from clouds.
But I'm surprised about the image. It seems only the right snow area is highlighted as snow. What about the snow in the centre of the image? Does this method fail here? Does anyone have an explanation? How could this be improved? Is the middle area not snow-covered?

ESA/Copernicus has released the Sentinel-2 Global Reference Image. Do you already have ideas to use it? Do you want to improve geolocation accuracy of other sensors? Which ones? Or do you have other ideas which are not obvious?
I think about how much value this data set has.

A new version of the pixel identification tool for SNAP has been released recently. It improves performance for OLCI and MSI. Also, the NN for cloud classification has been changed to better distinguish sea ice from clouds.
I haven't tested it myself yet, but I've heard rumours that the improvement in processing performance is quite significant.
